Emoji quiz game: guess the movie, song or cricketer

Emoji PictureGuess the movie by emojiEmoji paheli

Three fire emojis. That's Sholay, obviously. Emoji Picture is the emoji quiz game your family WhatsApp group already plays, now live and with a timer: a row of emojis appears on everyone's phone, along with a tag saying whether it's a Film, a Gaana or a Cricketer, and you race to type the answer.

Spelling is forgiving, short forms like DDLJ count, and you get three wrong tries per puzzle. The faster you crack it, the more you score. Ten puzzles, about four minutes, and endless arguments about why a banana means what it means.

Kya chahiye: Just phones. The app shows the emojis, checks answers and scores.

Rules: kaise khelte hain

Pick what to guess

In the lobby the host picks Film, Gaana, Cricketer or Mix, and a level: Sab, Aasaan, Mast or Mushkil. A round is 10 puzzles.

Read the emojis, type the answer

Each puzzle shows an emoji row and its tag for 25 seconds. Type your answer and send it. You can guess about once a second.

  • Small spelling mistakes are fine: one typo on shorter answers, two on longer ones.
  • Common short forms and alternate spellings are accepted, like DDLJ for Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. Very short answers must be exact.
  • "The" at the start doesn't matter.

Three tries, and Kareeb hai

You get 3 wrong tries per puzzle. If your guess is close but not quite right, you see "Kareeb hai!" and it doesn't use a try. Only you see it.

Nobody ever sees anyone else's guesses, even wrong ones, since a wrong guess can be one letter off. Everyone just sees a tick when someone solves it.

Reveal and result

The puzzle ends when time runs out or when everyone has solved it or used their tries. For 5 seconds you see the answer, a one-line explanation of the emojis, and who got it in what order. After the last puzzle comes the leaderboard.

Points kaise milte hain

A right answer is worth 50 points plus up to 50 more for speed, shrinking as the 25 seconds run out. The first person to get each puzzle earns another 20. Wrong answers, running out of tries or not answering score 0, and there is no minus. Ties stand, and scores carry across games in the room.

Jeetne ke tips

  • Read the tag first. Film, Gaana and Cricketer point you in very different directions.
  • Say the emojis out loud in Hindi and English. Many puzzles are puns.
  • Type the short form if you know it. It's faster.
  • When you see Kareeb hai, fix the spelling rather than trying a new answer.

Sawaal jawaab

How do you play the emoji quiz game with friends?

Make a Mandli room, pick Emoji Picture and share the link. Everyone sees the same emoji row and races to type the movie, song or cricketer. Faster right answers score more.

Do I have to spell the movie name exactly?

No. One or two typos are allowed depending on length, and common short forms like DDLJ are accepted. Very short answers must be exact.

How many guesses do I get?

Three wrong tries per puzzle. A near miss shows "Kareeb hai!" and does not use a try.

Are there emoji puzzles for songs and cricketers too?

Yes. Every puzzle is tagged Film, Gaana or Cricketer, and the host can pick one tag or a Mix.
