Ye ya Woh: Would You Rather questions, desi style

Would You RatherThis or ThatYe ya wohWould you rather game

"Zindagi bhar sirf Maggi, ya zindagi bhar sirf khichdi?" There is no right answer. There is only your answer, and whether you can guess what the rest of the mandli will pick.

Ye ya Woh is Would You Rather with a small twist. Each player secretly picks their own side, and also predicts which side most people will choose. You score for reading the room, not for your own choice, so nobody is judged for loving khichdi.

Mandli has over 300 Would You Rather questions in Hinglish, from khana and filmy to tech, superpowers and pure bakwaas. Each round is one question and takes under a minute, for 2 to 20 players.

Kya chahiye: Just phones. Choices stay secret until the split is shown.

Rules: kaise khelte hain

Two options

Two option cards slide in for 3 seconds. A few examples from the game: Bina namak ka khana or bina cheeni ki chai. Roz aloo paratha or roz chhole bhature. Golgappe bina teekha paani or samosa bina aloo.

Pick your side, then predict

You have 15 seconds. Tap your side, then tap your prediction: Zyada log kya chunenge? You can change both until you tap Lock. If time runs out, whatever you had picked still counts. The round moves on early when everyone has locked.

While answering you see who has locked, never anyone's side.

The split

The reveal shows the split for 6 seconds: counts and percentages for each side, your side highlighted, and whether your prediction was right. On an equal split the screen says Barabar. Anyone can tap Aage, and the host can move everyone along.

Host settings

The host picks a topic in the lobby: Sab mix, Khana, Filmy, College, Ghar, Travel, Tech, Superpower or Bakwaas. The host can also turn on Kaun kis side dikhao, which shows names on each side. It is off by default and is locked for the round.

Points kaise milte hain

If your prediction matches the majority side, you get 1 point. If the split was close, between 40 and 60 percent, a right prediction gets 1 more. The majority is counted only among players who chose a side, and you must choose a side for your prediction to count. On an equal split there is no majority, so nobody scores for that question. Your own choice is never worth points on its own.

Jeetne ke tips

  • Your side and your prediction do not have to match. Pick honestly, predict smartly.
  • Close calls are worth double, so the hard questions are where points are made.
  • Think about who is in the room. A group of hostel friends and a family dinner will split very differently.
  • Try the Bakwaas tag when energy is low. Absurd questions get people talking.
  • Keep names hidden for a new group so people pick what they really feel.

Ghar wale rules aur variants

Hands up (at home)

At home someone reads a question and people raise hands for each side. It is quick, but nobody can hide. Mandli keeps sides secret unless the host turns names on.

Why round (at home)

Many groups ask the minority to defend their choice. Mandli does not time this, but in Saath mode or on voice chat you can always stop and argue before tapping Aage.

Ye ya Woh online kaise khelein

Create a room in Mandli, share the link on WhatsApp or show the QR code, and friends join from the app or a browser link. No login, just a name and a colour. In Saath mode everyone sits together and argues out loud. In Door mode there is voice chat inside the game, with mic and speaker buttons, and nothing is recorded. The host picks the topic and whether names are shown. Up to 20 people can play Ye ya Woh together. Points carry across rounds and games in the room. It is free and has no ads.

Sawaal jawaab

What are some good Would You Rather questions?

Mandli has 300+ in Hinglish. For example: Zindagi bhar sirf Maggi or zindagi bhar sirf khichdi, Bina namak ka khana or bina cheeni ki chai.

How do you score in Ye ya Woh?

You score by predicting which side the majority will choose: 1 point, plus 1 more if the split was between 40 and 60 percent.

Can we play Would You Rather with just 2 people?

Yes. Ye ya Woh works from 2 players up to 20.

Can others see which side I chose?

Only if the host turned on Kaun kis side dikhao. By default the reveal shows counts only.

Is it a good game for a video call?

Yes. Rounds are short, everyone plays at once, and the split gives the group something to argue about on voice.
